Robert Scoble (born 1965) is an influential American blogger, evangelist, and author, best known for his blog Scobleizer. He worked at Microsoft from 2003–2006 as a technical evangelist, where he helped improve Microsoft’s reputation, especially with developers. He later worked for Podtech.net, Fast Company (running a video blog), Rackspace (developing the startup community site Building 43), and UploadVR. Described as a “minor celebrity among geeks worldwide”, his blog came to prominence for its insider coverage of the tech industry. At Podtech.net he held the role of VP of media development but soon left for Fast Company. He has been involved in video blogging and new media throughout his career. Since 2009 he has focused on promoting startups and new technologies, through platforms like Building 43 and UploadVR.
